We make your scanner time calculable.

So you get more out of every minute — with numbers instead of gut feeling.

For owners and partners of outpatient radiology practices we work out what an hour of scanner time costs and earns, how revenue mix and budget state develop across the quarter, and which scan mix carries a scanner. You get figures about your own operation, an interpretation of them, and a prioritised list of what is worth changing.

Economics first – based on your own data

If you own the practice, you carry the risk of the equipment. We work out what your scanner time costs and earns, and show where that can be changed.

  • Contribution margin per scanner hour

Detailed cost of scanner time and contribution margin per exam type – the basis for planning and prioritising the scan mix by its economic contribution. For slot planning we break it down to the minute on the scanner.

  • Revenue mix and budget state

Budget-bound EBM services (RLV/QZV), extrabudgetary EBM services and GOÄ (private and self-pay) are looked at separately: how far the budget is used up relative to progress through the quarter, and from when marginal revenue collapses, becomes visible over the quarter – and with it how the contribution margin per scanner hour develops across the whole case mix.

  • Durations with their uncertainty

Scan durations are modelled with their variability and with the certainty of the estimate. Planning uses probability ranges rather than a single experience value – which is what makes economic planning reliable in the first place.

  • Waiting time as a guardrail

Waiting times stay in view so that economic planning does not degrade care. Where they arise, we make the causes visible and point out where reductions could start.

What we evaluate

The analysis is made up of modules: the economics of scanner time first, then the exam times and workflows without which it would not be reliable.

Guardrails

Economic planning stops where care begins. These limits are part of every engagement.

  • Urgency comes first

Medical urgency always outranks economic considerations. Your mandate to provide care remains the framework for all planning.

  • Waiting times monitored

Lead times and waiting times are monitored continuously, so that economic planning does not come at the expense of patient care.

  • Auditable and documented

Every weighting and every planning rule is documented and can be reviewed afterwards. Decisions stay with your practice.

How it runs

After each phase, you decide whether to continue. The analysis is complete with the workshop and stands on its own.

  1. Analysis

We take in pseudonymised exports, check them and evaluate what your data supports on costs, revenue mix, budget state, exam times and utilisation.

  2. Report and workshop

You get the figures with their assumptions and limitations, plus prioritised measures – each with its expected effect as a range and with the effort of implementing it.

  3. Implementation (optional)

If a measure should be supported permanently, we build software for it: dashboards, planning support, quarterly monitor. Voluntary and downstream.

Data protection from day one

We process billing and organisational data, technical metadata and selected exam-related attributes, pseudonymised – no diagnostic findings. How we handle it is governed by contract and by technical measures.

  • Pseudonymised data

Analyses use exports without direct patient identifiers. We do not produce evaluations of individual members of staff.

  • Data processing agreement

Before any data is shared, we sign a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR.

  • Project systems in Germany

Systems that process client and project data run in data centres located in Germany. This public website and the demo are delivered via Cloudflare.

  • Demo with synthetic data

The public demo uses artificially generated data only.
